Tap becomes testimony. Rhythm becomes resistance. To Dance Is To Be Free brings together live music, spoken word, and percussive dance in an immersive journey through themes of race and immigration.

A powerhouse on the rise, Gerson Lanza has headlined The Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center, been showcased at New York City Center in a program curated by Ayodele Casel, and selected as an artist-in-residence at Strathmore College.
