Tap Camp for Kids!
We are offering both Winter and Summer Tap Camps in 2026 for a variety of age groups and levels!

At Tap Camp kids spend a full day with us learning tap moves and other styles of dance, exploring historical tap dancers, doing crafts, and seeing some film clips to inspire them! Depending on the age group and level, we sometimes host masterclasses, take field trips, and host casual performances for the kids to show off what they've been working on!

Winter Tap Camps
Monday, January 19th
8:45am - 3pm each day
For young dancers age 7-10. Geared toward students with no/limited experience, or with knowledge of the basics. We'll learn some cool moves, explore some historical tap dancers, create some fun tap crafts & see some film clips to inspire! Tap shoes provided!
Tue. Feb. 17th - Fri. Feb. 20
8:45am - 3pm each day
For young dancers age 7-9 and 10-13 (separate sections for the two age groups) with no/little tap dance experience. Dancers explore tap dance, learn basic tap technique, and put together a performance for an casual show at the end of the week. Arts and crafts every day, exploration of tap history and culture, and a field trip mid week. Tap shoes provided!
Mon. Mar. 23 - Fri. Mar. 27
8:45am - 3pm each day
For young dancers age 5-7 and 8-10 (separate sections for the two age groups) with no/little tap dance experience. Dancers explore tap dance, learn basic tap technique, and put together a performance for an casual show at the end of the week. Arts and crafts every day, exploration of tap history and culture, and several master classes in unique percussive styles. Tap shoes provided!

Mon. Jul. 6 - Fri. Jul 10
8:45am - 3:30pm each day
For young dancers age 5-7 and 8-10 with some prior tap experience (2-3 years) Dancers explore tap dance, build tap technique, and put together a performance for an casual show at the end of the week. Arts and crafts every day, exploration of tap history and culture, and several master classes in unique percussive styles. Field trip mid-week. Tap shoes provided if needed!
Mon. Jul. 20 - Fri. Jul. 24
8:45am - 3:30pm each day
For young dancers age 5-7 and 8-10 with no/limited prior experience. Dancers explore tap dance, learn basic tap technique, and put together a performance for an casual show at the end of the week. Arts and crafts every day, exploration of tap history and culture, and several master classes in unique percussive styles. Field trip mid-week. Tap shoes provided!
Mon. Aug. 3 - Fri. Aug. 7
8:45am - 3:30pm each day
For young dancers age 5-7 and 8-10 with no prior experience. Dancers explore tap dance, learn basic tap technique, and put together a performance for an casual show at the end of the week. Mon. Aug. 10 - Fri. Aug. 14
9 am - 3 pm each day
For young dancers age 12-16 with intermediate level tap experience.
Audition placement video required, email shebach@tapdancecentral for details.
Dancers will build tap technique and work on creating choreography to present at the end of the session. Dancers will explore tap icons in the field today, and discuss how the styles of these dancers contribute to moving the art form forward. Additional Master Classes and Field trip mid week.
