Our own Tap Dance Central Ensemble dancers will perform a live reading with Dance to "Rap A Tap Tap" storybook by Leo & Diane Dillon and share a few selections from our Repertory, and we'll do a bit of audiece participation too! Great for young dancers age 5-10.

Melissa Almaguer is a multidisciplinary tap artist, improviser and educator born and raised in Mexico now based in Brooklyn, NY. Using tap dance as her instrument, she creates communal spaces of sonic exploration that serve as rituals to heal and restore balance with Mother Nature/oneself. Through them she intends to inspire a higher awareness of the power we all have to heal and create our own realities.

The Duo Series is a live concert project in which Sandra Kluge plays a set of fully improved music with different duo partners. In this performance Asher Kurtz will be Sandra's Duo Partner.

Rooted in expressions of selfhood, culture, and legacy, Ayodele Casel pushes tap forward while holding reverence for her predecessors and the African American roots of the form. Directed by long-time collaborator Torya Beard, this new work examines the transformative ties between tap dance and the dynamism of 90s Hip-Hop music.
